FAQ

You Have A Question. We Have An Answer.

What is Telehealth?

(Also referred to as Telemedicine, Teletherapy or Telepsychiatry)
Telehealth is a form of video conferencing allowing mental health providers and therapists provide services to patients outside of the office, for example at the patient’s home or workplace. It also provides the opportunity for consultation with family members, teachers and other providers involved in the patient’s care.

Are we accepting new patients?

Yes! We are currently accepting patients from the VA/ Triwest Healthcare Alliance. Plus Private pay please contact us for more information.

Are telehealth visits confidential?

All content from evaluation and visits are completely confidential and will not be shared with any third party without your expressed permission. There are certain circumstances where we are required by law to disclose confidential content if imminent danger is determined to be present which may put you or another person at serious risk for harm. Child or elder abuse is reportable by law.

Do you accept insurance?

Atlanta Telehealth is not in-network with any insurance plan outside of the VA/ Triwest Healthcare Alliance plan at this time. Our team is working very hard to credential and contract with most major insurance companies.

How long is my visit?

Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them. The length of time counseling and treatment can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
